This 1966 mostly original Classic Ford Bronco just came in on consignment from the 2nd owner who lives near Torrance CA. The current owner has owned it since 1973, he bought it from the original owner. He is only selling it because he's getting older now, and doesn't have time to drive it anymore.

It has been painted Brown a while back. It has a rebuilt 302 V-8 engine. The engine is healthy, it has long tube headers, a 4 barrel Holly carburetor which has been recently rebuilt, an RV cam, and a dual exhaust system correctly routed out behind the rear tires. It runs well and needs nothing mechanically. The fuel tank is a 23 gallon sNMP fuel tank, with a newer filler hose and newer vent lines.

This Bronco also has a 4 speed manual transmission, which only 1 out of every 20 Classic Ford Bronco have these days. This 4 speed manual transmission is tight. You can cruise the freeways comfortably at 65MPH no problem with the current set up. If we installed a lift and 33" tires you could cruise at a higher rate of speed on the highway more comfortably. The Dana 20 transfer case has been re-sealed, and works as it should.

The body is pretty rust free (except for the windshield frame, which is being replaced next week). There is very minimal rust in the inner front fender aprons, which is standard for any 50 year old Bronco, but no rust at all in the floor pans, the door pillars, the tailgate or the rocker panels.

This Bronco would make a perfect platform for an uncut, back-to-original restoration, OR a cut and flared Bronco restoration. Either way it would be a great starter vehicle, or just keep the Brown paint job that's currently on it and drive it just as it is now. The paint will clean up nicely once it's polished and waxed.

It has manual steering, manual drum brakes, and 4.11 gearing, with a Ford 9" in back and a Dana 30 front axle. The driveline is in good shape. The transmission and clutch are both healthy.

The interior is older carpet with newer black high back bucket seats in front, with a matching factory rear seat in the same black vinyl material. The window glass is very clean all around, the doors are very clean, the hinges could use rebuilding but work good now, and all of the gaps are correct and proper.

The door pushes are easy to open, and they close with a "thud" like they should. The hard top has some rust in it from being off for a number of years, we would 'do away' with the current hard top if you are planning to restore it, but if you plan to just drive it as it is now, leave it on there and have a body shop repair the minor rust, it's not that bad if you don't plan to restore it. It does it's job.

As for the rest of the Bronco, everything is 51 years old but in real good shape for being as old. It had older 31" MT tires on 15x10" white mag wheels that were installed in the 80's, we just changed out the wheels and tires with a set of 15x6" factory powder coated wheels with a set of nice 235/75R15 tires. All it needs to be back-to-original now is a set of new uncut fender aprons welded on in back, and some nice factory hub caps.

If you are looking to do a long term restoration, this would be an excellent platform to begin with if you wanted to end up with a Show Vehicle or just a clean street cruiser. We would love to get the chance to tear it down and restore it, then put it all back together for you! Imagine a rust-free California black plate Bronco with everything brand new, this could be that Bronco.

Pricing for a full frame off restoration on this Bronco with everything rebuilt or new would start at around $85,000.00 if you kept it "mild", or could go as high as $135K if you wanted everything to top-of-the-line, with features like power windows, power door locks, air conditioning, Alpine sound system with 5 channel amplifier, sub woofer console, Bilstein or Legend suspension, Legend roll cage and seats, snap in floor mats, rebuilt drive line, new 4 speed automatic transmission, Atlas 2 transfer case, new 17x9" wheels with 305/65R17 All Terrain tires, etc. Or we can do anything in-between. You get our point.

If you get your order in by the end of July, you could take delivery in May or June of 2018. We are really looking for a long term restoration customer who wants to place an order for next May or June delivery, but we would be willing to sell it for the current price and you can do whatever you want to it from there.
