1971 Burgundy Bronco

Bronco Details

This frame-off restoration originally came from Arizona where it spent the majority of its life, it’s 100% rust-free and has never had any rust issues. It is now registered in CA.

It has a healthy 302 V8 engine with 35K miles, with headers and Flowmaster dual-exhaust system with the pipes exiting out behind the rear tires where they are supposed to exit. We recently pulled the front of the engine apart and installed a new timing cover and timing chain, a new water pump, repainted the PS and alternator brackets, and repainted the PS pump. We gave it a major tune-up, changed the spark plugs and wires, adjusted the timing, added electronic ignition, changed the fluids, and went through the carburetor. The engine looks and runs like new again, and no work should be needed on this engine for a long time to come.

This Bronco currently has a 3-speed manual transmission with the shifter on the floor, with a clean Dana 20 transfer case, a Dana 44 with disc brakes in front and Ford 9″ rear end with drum brakes. It has heavy-duty steering linkages, far better than the stock steering linkages that Broncos normally come with. It has a rebuilt PS gearbox. This Bronco steers, rides and brakes well. This Bronco has Hydroboost (a brake booster system that works off fluid rather than engine vacuum) which is far better than the stock brake booster that these older Broncos normally come within this price range. It has a newer replacement 12-gallon fuel tank in the back and an 8-gallon side tank, it has a newer aluminum radiator and a new fan shroud, and a stock 7 blade cooling fan.

This Bronco has newer Amp Research electric power steps to help you get in and out of the vehicle comfortably. The front axle has newer warn hubs and twin-stick 4×4 shifters. It has new chrome front and rear bumpers, plus a newer 3.5 inch suspension system. It currently has new white high-back reclining Pro Car Elite front seats on sliding tracks, plus a new folding rear seat with headrests (all of which are being pattern-matched included in this price point). It has an illuminated stereo antenna, illuminated rocker lights, new 15 x 10 inch polished aluminum wheels with Falken A/T Wild Peak 33×11.50×15 tires and all-new suspension bushings.

The Deep Burgundy Metallic paint is in excellent shape. We just had the paint color sanded and polished so it looks fantastic. The interior has polyurea (Linex) coated floor pans plus new white pleated vinyl door panels and rear side panels. It has a stereo with rear speakers. It also has a 4 point Linex coated rear roll cage with new retractable seat belts in front and in back, plus new black roll cage padding and wrapping. It has newer rubber and seals, plus a newer black STC soft top. We just adjusted the doors, fixed the tailgate, which would not open and close properly, now everything lines up properly and the doors and tailgate function properly.

This Bronco is in excellent overall condition.
