This 1974 Ford Bronco was 98% rust-free when we sourced it, and it was pretty nice, however now it is 100% rust-free. We just went through this Bronco from top to bottom. Every fastener, nut and bolt on this truck was replaced with new in the process. It received new factory sheet metal where needed, now after only 6 months, this ‘Factory Plus’ model Bronco is a show stopper!
We gave it a rebuilt ‘Factory Plus’ 302 crate engine with a RV cam and customized crankshaft which added 40-50LBS of torque to the factory 302 engine, which includes a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty from the engine builder, plus new FI Tech fuel injection system, electronic ignition, MSD ignition and Blaster 2 coil for maximum performance and reliability. Everything in the engine bay is brand new, including the air boxes, and every part around the engine.
This Bronco just had a freshly rebuilt 4R70W 4 speed automatic transmission installed (with a 6 month warranty) along with a rebuilt Dana 20 transfer case and all new running gear. It comes with a rebuilt Dana 44 front end & rebuilt Ford 9″ rear end with new 4.11 gears and new axles, axle seals, new bearings & new Tom Woods front and rear drive shafts.
We just installed a new tilt steering column, a new factory steering wheel, plus a completely new 4 turn power steering with all new tie rods, ball joints, “C” bushings, adjustable drag link and adjustable tracking bar, then we did the alignment for the best steering possible. To make this Bronco stop exceptionally, we decided to install a new Hydro boost brake system, new front power disc brakes and all new front and rear brake lines, new drums, wheel cylinders and axle seals in back, plus new lines running down the chassis.
There is now a new 2.5″suspension system plus a 1″ body lift, new Bilstien shocks all around, all new suspension bushings, and new body bushing hardware. We just installed a totally new electrical system with a new Centek wire harness and fuel injection harness.
The body was completely stripped down to the chassis. The frame has been sanded, prepped and powder coated satin black. The body has factory Un-Cut fenders in front and in the back. The paint is a new two-stage Brittney Blue paint job with high quality clear coat, completed to a very high standard. It has a new stock steel hood with all new hardware, including new squirters, latch, secondary latch and spring.
It just got all new steel fuel lines going down the frame, plus all new brake lines. The body received all new stainless steel & grade 8 hardware throughout. Everything on this build is now new, and every part we installed is top-of-the-line.
The interior is will consist of restored Parchment front and rear seating, with all new door, rear side and tailgate paneling, with a fresh Linex interior bed liner. We match painted a clean stock dash board with a new air conditioning system and a factory glove box and new liner. We installed a new Tuffy locking center console with a matching armrest pad on top, along with an Alpine 164 CD bluetooth sound system in the center console with a set of Alpine C-5.25 (5 1/4″) component speakers recessed into the rear side panels. (a second set of Alpine C-6.25 6.5″ component speaker was installed).
It has a new 4 point roll cage, powder coated white, with support bars going all the way to the windshield frame to support the windshield when the top is off. The bumpers are chrome in front & in back. The windshield & seal is new, as are the wing windows, and the window glass in both doors. It comes with a restored factory hard top with standard glass and all new seals, with a new parchment colored cardboard factory replacement head liner.
All door window felts and channels have been replaced with new, and the door inner latches and pulls are all new. It has been properly re-sealed throughout with all new door upper and lower seals, a new tailgate track and seal, plus all other related seals.
With the un-cut body, we decided to go with factory restored 15×6″ stock wheels with new 29″ BFG All Terrain tires, along with brand new factory hub caps.
This Bronco was just completed for a local customer.
