This rust-free 1974 Ford Bronco is nearing the end of a frame off restoration. It just received a new Cool Gray Khaki (light blue non-metallic) 2 stage PPG paint job and a new black Linex interior bed liner. It is getting new chrome bumpers in front and in back. It will have a new windshield and seal and all new new rubber and seals throughout the build. It will have all new door parts, new dash parts, plus all new interior parts, all mounted with new body hardware, everything throughout this Bronco will be either new or restored. The frame was stripped, sand blasted, and powder coated in a satin black finish. It has new 2.5 inch soft ride suspension system with variable rate front coil springs, new 11 leaf 2.5 inch rear springs in back, new leaf spring and shackle bushings, nitrogen charged Bilstein shocks, extended stainless steel brake hoses, stainless steel brake lines on both axles, new radius arm bushings, new C bushings, new tie rods, new adjustable drag link and track bar, plus a recent alignment.
It has a 5.0 liter Gen 2 Coyote engine with shorty headers with a quiet modern exhaust system, a 6-speed automatic transmission, electronic ignition, plus all new surrounding engine parts. It has a new black tilt steering column, a new wooden steering wheel, a rebuilt Dana 20 transfer case, new Tom Woods drive shafts, plus new 15 x 10 inch aluminum wheels with new BFG 32X11.50X15 All Terrain tires.
It has a restored Dana 44 front axle with disc brakes, the rear axle is a restored Ford 9 inch with Posi-Traction and disc brakes. It has a new Hydro Boost power assist hydraulic power brake system along with a new power steering system with an upgraded late model PS pump and Tom Lee rebuilt factory 14-1 (4 turn) steering gearbox, plus all-new steering linkages and ball joints. It is getting a new Legend dashboard with a new Classic Instruments Rocky Roads Broncos digital speedometer, a new Vintage Air A/C system with 4 round billet A/C vents mounted in-dash, plus a new Painless wire harness, new custom leather wrapped Legend family cage, a new locking center console with a new single din Kenwood Bluetooth stereo system mounted inside of the console, 4 new Focal speakers flush mounted in the rear side paneling and in custom front speaker enclosures. It will have a restored factory glove box, a new glove box liner, a new 2 speed wiper system with a new wiper reservoir, a black wiper motor cover and Lear jet sun visors. The fuel, brake, e-brake and high beam petals will all be new. It will have a new Vintage Distressed Amber Glow (Ball Glove) Leather covering the new Pro Car Elite high back reclining seats with headrests in front, with a matching folding rear seat with headrests in the back. It has retractable seat belts in the front and in back, with matching door panels, rear panels and a matching tailgate panel, plus braces that secure the windshield frame to the roll cage (for added stability when the new Rampage Tan soft top is off). It will come with a new black Safari top, new leather roll cage padding and wrapping. All lenses, buckets, turn signals, LED headlights will be new. It will have new tail lights, new amber / red side marker lights with chrome bezels surrounding the side marker lights, plus new chrome headlamp rings and tail light bezels.
*** The Bronco in these photos was recently sold, the Bronco described here is one we are currently building that will look very similar, nearly everything will be exactly like this one. The cost of the one we’re building will be closer to $200,000 once completed, which will be before the end of 2022.
*** This Bronco was just sold on 1-19-22, but we are building another one that will look very similar, only it will have match-painted fender flares on all 4 fenders. Other than that, everything else will be exactly like this one, only with slightly better suspension. The cost of the one we’re building will be closer to $180K once completed in March or April of 2022.
